10. Unmatched customer experience.
We realize that the purchase of hearing aids is a big decision, involving a considerable investment of time and money. At Marietta Hearing Center, we never take that for granted. Because we consider our patients family members, you don’t have to be concerned about feeling pressured or hassled. Our 75 day return privilege for hearing aids makes patients feel comfortable regarding their buying decisions.
9. Connection with local physicians.
We cultivate relationships with physicians in the community. After your initial appointment, we submit a report to your physician detailing the reasons for your visit, any test results, and our recommendations. Because our audiologists have strong medical backgrounds, working alongside Ear, Nose and Throat physicians, they know when to refer patients for medical treatment. We regularly visit local physicians’ offices to keep them up-to-date about the latest treatments and advances in audiology.
8. Connections within the community.
Our audiologists regularly volunteer to assist and educate seniors with hearing difficulties at Sterling Estates West Cobb, Winnwood Retirement Center, through the OLLI (Osher Lifelong Learning Institute) at Kennesaw State University, and through the ELM (Enrichment for Life Movement), housed at the First Methodist Church in Marietta. We are also charitable providers for the Foundation for Sight and Sound and for the Georgia Lion’s Lighthouse Foundation.
7. Reputation
See what our patients have to say about us on the “Our Success Stories” page. Their stories speak for themselves. Many of our patients have been with us since our start.
6. Insurances Accepted.
We are in network with many of the major insurance carriers, including Medicare, BlueCross/Blue Shield, Tricare, Aetna, Cigna, United Healthcare, Humana and Coventry. We will be happy to assist you in verifying your coverage for hearing testing and, if needed, hearing aids
5. Experience/Longevity/Staying Power
Dr. Laurie Nelson has been an audiologist, treating patients, since 1985, and has been practicing in Marietta since 1999. Dr. Amanda Thomas and Dr. Brittney Tardy have joined our office, both with experience in the VA system, hearing loss and Lyric, the only invisible hearing aid. The Marietta Hearing Center first opened its doors in July, 2006, and has been blessed with a steady flow of highly satisfied patients ever since.
4. Location, location, location!
Marietta Hearing Center is conveniently located on Whitlock Avenue, about one mile west of the Marietta Square. Our parking lot is flat, and our patients park right in front of our office. Handicapped parking is available.
3. Comprehensive Audiological Testing combined with Experienced Counseling.
The initial consultation includes an extensive case history and assessment of the most difficult hearing situations. State-of-the-art equipment is used to determine the type and degree of hearing loss. Recommendations are made based on the patient’s lifestyle, budget, and needs. We demonstrate hearing technologies right in the office, so you can hear the difference for yourself! Dr.’s Nelson, Thomas and Tardy enjoy working with patients and their families regarding solutions and strategies that can better their communication.
2. The best technology available, backed by the best services and warranty.
Our manufacturers include Phonak, GN Resound, Lyric, Signia and Widex. We partner with leading manufacturers to provide the best and most current technology on the market. We are happy to work with our patients, assisting them with pairing their hearing aids to wireless accessories, including cell phones, and any other technology needs they may have. The purchase of hearing aids include a 3 year loss and repair warranty, along with 3 years of free regular visits, 3 years of free batteries, and a 75-day trial, (over twice as long as most offices)
